Michele Eastland is a multi-genre vocalist. She knew she wanted to perform as a vocalist from an incredibly early age. She pursued that dream and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Music with Vocal Performance emphasis from California State University of Fullerton in Fullerton, CA. She is the recipient of various awards for her musicianship, including the Peter K. Plotkin Award.
She has had the privilege to perform in various renowned venues and take part in many incredible opportunities. To name a few: The Hollywood Bowl Musical Review Show featuring late greats Marni Nixon and Nel Carter accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra; Toured British Isles and Hawaii; Toured with The Boston Pops Orchestra; Sang with the late Rosemary Clooney in Rosemary Clooney’s “White Christmas Show;” Sang at Disneyland California Adventure and Disneyland; Sang under the direction of former Los Angeles Master Chorale conductor Paul Salamunovich; She has been a featured gospel soloist with Inland Master Chorale in Redlands, CA; Soloist with Boise Master Chorale; Featured soloist at the Morrison Center in Boise, ID with Millennial Choirs and Orchestra; Sang the role of Mother Superior in The Sound of Music in Orange County, CA; Was the featured alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Los Angeles, CA; Sang in the home of actor Andy Garcia.
Michele has performed at various establishments including: The Ritz Carlton of Laguna Niguel, CA; Caesars Palace of Las Vegas, NV; The historic hotels Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego, CA and Riverside Mission Inn, Riverside, CA; She has also performed in Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA; The Strathmore Center in Washington, D.C.; The world re-known Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Michele has been a sought-after solo vocalist of the National Anthem and has performed it at events many times in both California and Idaho, including the 2004 MPC Bowl at Boise State, along with other various Boise State Championship sporting events.
She has sung in many places throughout the nation, and Idaho is no exception. She’s performed in many venues in the Treasure Valley, including The Extra Mile Arena, Ford Idaho Center, Idaho Botanical Gardens, The Sapphire Room, and Ste. Chapelle Winery. She has been the featured Jazz vocalist at Chandlers Steakhouse, Chateau des Fleurs, and Boise Centre on the Grove and has performed in Sun Valley venues, McCall venues, and Salmon, ID, etc.
Michele has been in various choirs, of which she was a featured soloist many times, and has sung in small ensembles. She has also been the lead vocalist in 6 bands. Her 4 octave range allows her to sing various music including Classical, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, and Musical Theatre. Currently, Michele sings in her solo ventures around the valley, The Michele Eastland Duo/Trio/Quartet (ME2 and ME3+) which primarily feature Jazz Standards, Blues, R&B and Pop tunes, and her new full band Menagerie, all of which can be seen regularly performing throughout The Treasure Valley, ID.
